Highlands Ranch History

In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, people flocked to Colorado as part of the Colorado Gold Rush. It was during this time that Highlands Ranch first evolved as a group of farmers and ranchers. John W. Springer, a wealthy local man, built the famous Highlands Ranch Mansion during that time period, which is known today as one of Colorado's most unique buildings.
